Deploy the appliance (NSX-T 3.x)

The Deep Security Virtual Appliance will reach end of extended support (EOL) on 31-Dec-2027 or VMware's end of support date for NSX-4.X, whichever comes first.

This document describes how to perform a fresh appliance deployment.

To upgrade an existing appliance deployment, follows the instructions provided in Upgrade Deep Security Virtual Appliance.

To deploy the appliance, follow these steps:

• Import the appliance
• Prepare Fabric settings
• Add vCenter to Deep Security Manager
• Install the appliance on NSX-T 3.x
• Create a group for protection
• Configure east-west security
• Configure Endpoint Protection
• Configure activation
