Change your Deep Security as a Service payment option

If you are currently using a seat subscription, a Cleverbridge subscription or prepaid credit for Deep Security as a Service you can switch to the AWS Marketplace billing payment option. With AWS Marketplace billing your AWS account will be billed directly, letting you purchase protection without the need for a license or credit card. When you switch to AWS Marketplace billing, you can choose from either a Pay as you Go or an Annual subscription. A Pay as you Go subscription only bills you for the hours your computers are protected, while an Annual subscription offers discounted rates when you pre-purchase per-computer protection for a 1 month, 1 year, 2 year or 3 year term.

To switch, follow the procedure that corresponds with your current payment option:

If you are currently subscribed to the Deep Security as a Service AWS Marketplace billing payment option, you can Switch from AWS Marketplace billing to another payment option.

Switch from a seat subscription to AWS Marketplace billing

When you switch to AWS Marketplace billing from a seat subscription, you can choose from either a Pay as you Go or an Annual subscription. You can make the switch to AWS Marketplace billing by updating your license type in the Deep Security Manager.

You will need to first upgrade to a paid account, and then choose your subscription type.

Upgrade to a paid account

  1. Log in to Deep Security as a Service.
  2. At the top of the page, click your account name (as shown below) and select Account Details.account-name
  3. Click Upgrade to Paid.
  4. Click Subscribe through AWS Marketplace.

    By default, you will be brought to the AWS Marketplace page for a Pay as you Go subscription. For an Annual subscription, follow the steps provided below.

Subscribe to Deep Security as a Service - Pay as you Go

  1. Click Continue > Subscribe > Set Up Your Account.

    You will be brought to the Deep Security Dashboard. Your subscription is now active.

Subscribe to Deep Security as a Service - Annual

  1. Go to the Deep Security as a Service - Annual Marketplace page.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. Enter the number of instances to protect.
  4. Select the contract term to protect your instances for and whether to automatically renew the contract at term end.
  5. Click Create Contract.

    You will be brought to the Deep Security Dashboard. Your subscription is now active.

Switch from a Cleverbridge subscription to AWS Marketplace billing

When you switch to AWS Marketplace billing from a Cleverbridge billing subscription, you can switch to a Pay as you Go subscription. You can make this switch by updating your license type in the Deep Security Manager.

You will need to first cancel your Cleverbridge subscription, and then subscribe to AWS Marketplace billing.

Cancel your Cleverbridge subscription

  1. Log in to Deep Security as a Service.
  2. In the top middle of the page, click your account name (as shown below) and select Account Details from the list.account-name
  3. Click Cancel Subscription.
  4. Select I have read and understood the above information and then click Cancel My Subscription.

    Your Deep Security as a Service account will change state to allow for 5 free protected instances. However, all of your existing instances will continue to be protected.

Subscribe to AWS Marketplace billing

  1. In the top middle of the page, click your account name (as shown below) and select Account Details from the list.account-name
  2. Click Upgrade to Paid.
  3. Click Subscribe through AWS Marketplace.

    You will be brought to the AWS Marketplace page for Deep Security as a Service.

  4. Click Continue > Subscribe > Set Up Your Account.

    You will be brought to the Deep Security Dashboard. Your subscription is now active.

Switch from prepaid credit to AWS Marketplace billing

When you switch to AWS Marketplace billing from prepaid credit, you can switch to a Pay as you Go subscription. You can make this switch by updating your license type in the Deep Security Manager.

Make sure that you have used any remaining prepaid credits before you make the switch so you don’t lose them.

  1. Click your account name at the top of the page and select Account Details from the list.account-name
  2. Click Update License.
  3. Select Subscribe through AWS Marketplace and then click OK.
  4. Click OK on the message warning you about prepaid credit.
  5. Click Continue > Subscribe > Set Up Your Account on the AWS Marketplace page for Deep Security as a Service.

    You will be brought to the Deep Security Dashboard. Your subscription is now active.

Switch from AWS Marketplace billing to another payment option

To switch your Deep Security as a Service account from AWS Marketplace billing to another payment option, you need to first cancel the billing subscription to your current AWS Marketplace account, and then unlink your AWS Marketplace account from your Deep Security as a Service account.

Cancel your subscription to the current AWS Marketplace account

  1. Log in to the current AWS Marketplace account.
  2. Click Your Software.
  3. Under the Trend MicroDeep Security as a Service product, click Cancel Subscription, and then Yes, Cancel Subscription.

    It may take up to two hours for your cancellation to be processed.

Unlink your AWS Marketplace account from your Deep Security as a Service account

  1. Sign in to your Deep Security as a Service account.

  2. At the top of the page, click your account name (as shown below) and select Account Details.account-name

  3. On the Type field, check that your Deep Security as a Service account now shows "Free - Maximum of 5 Protected Computers".

  4. Click Unlink AWS Account.
