Install the Deep Security Notifier
The Deep Security Notifier is a utility for physical or virtual Windows machines which provides local notification when malware is detected or malicious URLs are blocked. The Deep Security Notifier is automatically installed as part of the Deep Security Agent on Windows machines. The stand-alone installation described here is intended for use on agentless Windows VMs being protected by the Deep Security Virtual Appliance. For more information, see Deep Security Notifier.
Copy the Installation Package
Copy the installation file to the computer.
Install the Deep Security Notifier for Windows
- Double-click the installation file to run the installer package. Click Next to begin the installation.
- Read the license agreement and click Next.
- Click Install to proceed with the installation.
- Click Finish to complete the installation.
The Deep Security Notifier is now installed and running on this computer, and the Notifier icon appears in the Windows System Tray. When malware is detected or a URL has been blocked, the Notifier will display pop-up notifications. You can manually disable them by double-clicking the tray icon to open the Notifier status and configuration window.
